Conference Scholarships Approved by NYSAFCS, NYSAFCSE and UFCS
In May 2007, the Board of Directors approved a scholarship application for FACS college students to attend our State Conference for half the registration fee. We are happy to report that this fall, the Educator’s Board of Directors approved a similar scholarship, and the United Family and Consumer Science Cabinet approved making two hotel rooms available for college students and one for FCCLA students. When you attend the October 2008 Conference at the Doubletree Inn in Rochester, be sure to meet the students who are chosen to receive these benefits. Providing professional opportunities for students will help to ensure our profession’s future.
