The Teacher of the Year Award identifies and recognizes outstanding educational programs, methods, techniques and activities that provide the stimulus for and give visibility to FACS elementary and secondary education.

The Apple Award is given to honor someone who has made a personal or professional difference in the life of a FACS professional.

This award was established in 1990 by Western District in honor of Victoria Gangloff and is given annually to a FACS professional who meets the criteria.
