AAFCS Online Proposal Submission System Opens September 16 AAFCS Proposals Due October 14
It’s time to start preparing proposals for the AAFCS 100th Annual Conference!
ALL proposals for theme-based educational sessions, board or business meetings, showcases or displays, meal functions, and certain types of events of interest must be submitted by using the online proposal submission system. The submission system will be open from September 16, 2008, until midnight (11:59pm Eastern Time) on October 14, 2008.
For the 100th Annual Conference, Celebrating the Past, Sustaining the Future, AAFCS is inviting family and consumer sciences and related professionals to submit theme-based educational session proposals on sustainability topics, such as designing more eco-friendly fabrics, reducing waste in food preparation, and increasing the use of recycling in homes, schools, and workplaces. To commemorate AAFCS’ Centennial, the conference will also address the history and future of the Association and FCS profession.

Interested in submitting a proposal to present at an invited session or event?
Some conference sessions and events have already been included in the conference program by the Annual Conference Committee due to their popularity. If you would like to submit an individual proposal to present at one of the functions listed below, please visit the 100th Annual Conference section of the AAFCS website to download the appropriate form(s) under “Calls for Proposals.” Proposals to present at these functions are not submitted by using the online proposal submission system and are coordinated by the AAFCS units. Please read each form for submission instructions and deadlines.
